The study assessed pre- to post-test modifications in personal and mental wellbeing, happiness, satisfaction of life, emotional and social intelligence, emotional expressions and attachment styles factors. The findings showed that significant differences between male and female gender in emotional and social intelligence. Interestingly, positive psychology course effects the participants negatively in happiness, well-being, and social intelligence, unlike in emotional expression.

It was necessary to discuss these results in a new perspective. The point reached at the end of the Positive Psychology course was not a happier life. Also, if the increase in awareness causes someone to find a deeper meaning, then happiness and well-being will be decreased at the beginning. There is sparse information available in the literature regarding attachment styles and theory of mind functions with somatoform pain disorder. Thus, the aim of the present study is to investigate the relation between somatoform pain disorder and attachment styles, theory of mind functions and alexithymia. Thirty consecutive somatoform pain disorder patients and age, education level and gender ratio matched 30 controls enrolled for the study.

Somatoform pain disorder patients revealed avoidant attachment and less secure and dependent characteristics more than the healthy controls.

In this patients, avoidant attachment style is categorically more apparent. Their theory of mind functions have been affected significantly and this effect has been found to be correlated with avoidant attachment style and pain severity.

These results indicate that developmental factors might be important in clinical manifestation of Somatoform pain disorder.

Evaluation of self-esteem, depression levels and nonfunctional attitudes of gifted and talented adolescents. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the self esteem, depression levels and nonfunctional attitudes of gifted and talented adolescents.

As a result of the research, it is concluded that the attitudes of the 9th grade students are not related to the self-esteem and depression characteristics, while the students who study at the 12th grade are related. According to these results, it is observed that as the ages of the gifted children increase, a significant relationship is developed especially in the opposite direction with respect to independence, perfectionist and variable attitudes, and depressive characteristics.
